CHALK4PEACE drew the world together last fall during the Student Peace Day Summit at the United Nations in New York with a 32 foot peace symbol that 1500 people filled in with messages and visions for a hopeful future of peace. Partnering with our UN liaison, Peace Day 365, Team CHALK4PEACE gathered at the UN to create a unique interactive chalk project. Messages of peace in 75 languages decorated the Plaza and gave everyone their chance to show the world what peace means to them. It was a tremendous success. We got to New York and DC because of YOU. We're growing every year because of YOU.
We have been invited back to the United Nations this fall! We have crowd funded twice and are preparing for our third campaign to bring Team CHALK4PEACE together for this and other events on the East Coast. We raised seed money through our Indiegogo campaign for our film in 2015 and our independent 2016 fundraiser for our UN/DC C4P Draw the World Together Tour that brought Team C4P to NY & DC. CHALK4PEACE wants to keep this momentum going...and we're asking you to help us with our 2017 Indiegogo How to CHALK4PEACE tutorial video campaign and our C4P: Draw the World Together Tour.
In our Video portfolio, we've created video sketches for our documentary, C4P: Drawing The World Together and are working to spread our message. Help us teach millions how to chalk 4 peace. When you donate to us, you're helping us give peace its chance. One of our goals has always been to have one million people chalking for peace at the same time... 2017 marks our twelfth year bringing the peace.
Thanks to our events at the United Nations and around the DC Beltway, CBS highlighted our efforts; and a dozen more countries will be holding CHALK4PEACE events for the first time in 2017. Addditional school districts are integrating CHALK4PEACE into their curricula this fall. People are recognizing the importance of CHALK4PEACE as a way to create dialog, vision and direction for a more peaceful planet. We draw the world together.
