On this day in 1869, Mahatma Gandhi was born. He led a revolution of peace and independence in India. On October 7, we will honor Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu for his tireless work to abolish Apartheid in South Africa; and also celebrate John Lennon's efforts to "give peace a chance" on October 9, his birthday.
