CHALK4PEACE paid tribute to Dr. King's legacy at the Ojai Valley Youth Foundation's 18th Annual Dr. MLK, Jr. Day on the Civil Rights leader's birthday January 15th at Libbey Park in downtown Ojai, California. A day filled with rare musical talent and important community civil rights activists brought the town together to advocate for non-violence, peace and justice. Keynote Speaker was Das Williams of the Board of Supervisors, District 1. He called for communities to take action to guide ourselves in the direction our country needs to go. We are the change we want to see. Hundreds of messages of peace in chalk graced the plaza around the fountain. Inspiring performances. A magnificent day. A magnificent community effort.
