CHALK4PEACE has been invited to help draw the world together at the United Nations this fall as part of the Peace Day Student Observance honoring the International Day of Peace. We will be bringing Team CHALK4PEACE into New York to create a giant symbol of peace for the young artists attending the conference September 16th to embellish with their messages of Peace, Hope and Justice for a better world. The United Nations is kind enough to provide the venue; CHALK4PEACE will create the template for expression and speak about 100 ways to say Peace...We're asking you to help Team CHALK4PEACE get to New York to "Bring the Peace" and to record the event for our documentary film: CHALK4PEACE: Drawing The World Together, which we started in Ferguson, Missouri last year. Our film, "CHALK4PEACE: Drawing Ferguson Together" is now in production. You can help...

CHALK4PEACE: Drawing FergUSon Together, the film you helped launch through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, is now in production. Paradigm Pictures shot 17 hours of video at the Social Justice Summit, Drawing FergUSon Together: A Vision of Peace at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley. The editing has begun.We continue to seek funding for the film with grants writing, fundraisers and direct appeal through our social media networks. Even after the Indiegogo campaign, contributions have continued to arrive to help with the costs of film editing, soundtrack and image licensing, special effects, marketing and distribution. We still have a ways to go to raise the monies necessary to properly complete this documentary. CHALK4PEACE: Gooden School-9th year!

The Gooden School of Sierra Madre, CA has been drawing the world together with CHALK4PEACE since 2007 with a marvelous Teach Peace program that includes older students helping younger ones express their visions of peace. In addition to their morning convocation to begin the Day of Peace, the school studies Peace movements, Peacemakers and Builders, and asks the whole school what peace means to them, in words, art, music, and behavior. Gooden teaches that peace is an integral part of the human condition and the school is to be commended for its enlightened and comprehensive sense of education. John Aaron, CEO of CHALK4PEACE, has attended many of Gooden's Peace Day celebrations and thanks Marianne van Voorst Ryan, Merrily Dunlap, Meghan Snyder, the students, teachers and parents of the Gooden School for their continued enthusiasm and participation in CHALK4PEACE!
