CHALK4PEACE is headed to the United Nations...We're asking 4 your help...

CHALK4PEACE has been invited to help draw the world together at the United Nations this fall as part of the Peace Day Student Observance honoring the International Day of Peace. We will be bringing Team CHALK4PEACE into New York to create a giant symbol of peace for the young artists attending the conference September 16th to embellish with their messages of Peace, Hope and Justice for a better world. The United Nations is kind enough to provide the venue; CHALK4PEACE will create the template for expression and speak about 100 ways to say Peace...We're asking you to help Team CHALK4PEACE get to New York to "Bring the Peace" and to record the event for our documentary film: CHALK4PEACE: Drawing The World Together, which we started in Ferguson, Missouri last year. Global Men of Peace- October

The beginning of October marks three birthdays of great Men of Peace.

October 2, 1869, Mahatma Gandhi was born...

On October 7, 1931, Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town, Desmond Tutu, was born. He turns 84 this week.

October 9th will mark John Lennon's 75th birthday. He was born in 1940.

Let us honor these men who worked tirelessly to ask the world to give peace its chance...

CHALK4PEACE drew FergUSon together...

CHALK4PEACE and Paradigm Pictures attended Drawing FergUSon Together: A Vision of Peace at the St. Louis Community College, Florissant Valley Sept. 18-19, 2015. Paul Westmacott and I traveled to Ferguson, MO to participate in their Social Justice Summit and CHALK4PEACE Community Celebration. Paul filmed countless interviews and sessions and I delivered the Keynote speech; and, with my new friend William, drew the the 30' peace symbol the community filled in with messages and visions of peace...and they did not stop there- by the end of Saturday, the entire plaza around Tony Cragg's Taurus sculpture was covered with peace, love and hope. Shout outs to Allieze Ruby Curry, Janice Nesser-Chu, Larhonda Wilson, Annie Wagganer, Terry Freeman, LM Oliver, Wesley JC Bell, Paul W., Dawn Chapman, Christine Ilewski-Huelsman, Neko, MK, Joshua, Paul, Brandon, William, Carol, Eric, Nick, Michael, Clarence, WGNU, and a slew of others who made this event a true highlight in the decade of CHALK4PEACE. It has been an honor to take part in a healing ceremony in Ferguson, Missouri.

CHALK4PEACE and Paradigm Pictures are making a documentary film of this event and the C4P events leading up to this Summit. Called CHALK4PEACE: Drawing Ferguson Together, we are in the post production process and are in the next phase of fundraising since our Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign.
